The Palestinian Center for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared is a human rights organization dedicated to research, documentation, and uncovering the fate of missing and forcibly disappeared persons. It also advocates for their rights and the rights of their families, striving to achieve justice and ensure accountability.

Institution’s Vision:

To be the primary national reference for documenting the cases of missing and forcibly disappeared Palestinians, working to uncover their fate and safeguard their rights and the rights of their families, while highlighting Israeli crimes against humanity.

Institution’s Mission:

To provide legal, psychological, and social support to the families of the missing, document crimes of enforced disappearance, and push for accountability of the perpetrators on both local and international levels.

Main Objectives:

  1. Comprehensive Documentation of Missing and Forcibly Disappeared:
    • Establishing an accurate digital database containing all information related to the missing, including the locations and circumstances of their disappearance.
    • Collecting testimonies from eyewitnesses and family members.
  2. Legal Support:
    • Pursuing cases in international and local courts to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for these crimes.
    • Collaborating with international human rights organizations to push for fair investigations.
  3. Psychological and Social Support:
    • Providing psychological support services to the families of the missing.
    • Offering financial assistance and compensation as resources allow.
  4. Awareness and Media:
    • Highlighting the suffering of the missing and their families through media campaigns and visual documentation.
    • Publishing annual reports on the number of missing victims and the crimes committed against them.
  5. International Cooperation:
    • Building partnerships with international organizations as the Red Cross and human rights groups to facilitate access to information and support efforts.
