Because every name is a story
, and every absence is a wound

In light of the difficult circumstances our Palestinian people are facing, and with the increasing number of missing persons, the Palestinian Center for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared aims to document these tragedies, provide support to families, and work to find solutions to end this pain.

The Palestinian Center for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared

The Israeli war of extermination on the Gaza Strip has led to the phenomenon of missing and forcibly disappeared persons, whose numbers have been increasing every month, with reports now mentioning more than 14,000 missing individuals. This reality necessitated the establishment of a specialized institution to address this issue. Thus, this center and its specialized electronic platform were created with the goal of documenting and gathering data, shedding light on the missing, highlighting the suffering of their families, and presenting this information to relevant authorities and the public in a systematic and effective manner. Although the priority will be for those who went missing during the war on Gaza, the center’s scope of interest also extends to include all cases related to missing Palestinians both inside and outside the country. Consequently, this platform represents new hope in assisting families in searching for their loved ones and raising awareness of what has happened.

Reported Disappearances List

Behind every name is a story, and behind every story is pain that stretches across days and months. Here, in the Reported Missing and Forcibly Disappeared List, we don’t just count numbers; we tell stories overflowing with pain and hope. These stories narrate the tragedy of a mother waiting, a wife anticipating, and a child searching for their father’s embrace in the faces of passersby. They are not just names on lists forgotten, but souls who once dreamed, loved, and had a place in this world. Here, we document their absence not to preserve it as a memory, but to fight against forgetting, and to demand justice and truth. Because they are not numbers, we search for them and bring their voices back to life.
